The Kern Lodge

Bruce, the on-site manager was very helpful and accommodating. The rooms were clean. We would definitely stay there again. They have a few fire pits, a bbq area, game room, and the pool was clean. The only reason it's not a full 5 stars was there were little things in the room that could have been taken care of, such as remotes didn't have backs and we had to take batteries from one remote to the other. Also the light fixtures and lamps could use some maintenance. But all in all a great room and good place.

Our stay at Kern Lodge was honestly one of the best experiences we’ve had. Bruce went above and beyond—he was always available, super kind, and made us feel so welcome. The room was very clean, cozy, and even warmed up for us when we arrived. The little details like the cute toiletries, the lights around the building, and the retro decor made it extra special. We had the best time in Kernville and can’t wait to come back. Thank you, Bruce!

Nice Little Cabins for the Price.I would definitely come again. My house Keeper Dustin kept the Cabin clean and the Beds looking Perfect. I stayed for 3 nights before heading back to Bakersfield.

I'm not sure why all the low reviews. Small town lodge, price is right. Rooms are cute and clean. I could smell the cleanliness of the linens when I got into bed. Fresh towels, air conditioning. We did have to wait on the staff to check in . . . But it's clearly a different lifestyle here. Not a big deal. Value is there, great views, husband loved sitting on the porch enjoying the mountain view.

We had the best time! Nice rooms we got two cabins for our large family of 11 people. Everyone got their own bed and a tv in every bedroom! The one cabin had a kitchen lots of room. The pool was really clean and we enjoyed the pizza right across the street. It is about an hour and a half from trail of 100 Sequoias. We went kayaking and had a lot of fun. Bruce was very helpful and friendly

I booked this room as a last minute trip, just wanting to get away from all fireworks in the city to not stress out my pets. Very cozy, clean, and comfortable. Definitely coming back here. And the town, its just beautful.

Wow I really have to hand it to management and staff here at the Kern Lodge. I stayed in Room 204, one of the apartment rooms and this room WAS PRISTINE! My linens were clean, new, and literally smelt like heaven. Amenities full, towels fully stocked, even the toilet paper was folded like an envelope and stamped. Their attention to detail couldn't have been better. The best part, management! Cassandra and Bruce what an absolute thrill it was meeting such wonderful people. The two of you have really turned this place around and it shows. I arrived a bit late so I called the number on the door upon arrival and was met in no time. You were completely understanding and made sure that I knew if I needed anything, it would be taken care of . The next day upon departure I got the chance to speak with Cassandra who was so knowledgeable and kind and has the most upbeat wonderful attitude that just sealed the whole experience for me. Before leaving, I booked a stay for my husband's upcoming birthday in one of the larger rooms because I simply won't stay anywhere else. Thank you so much for the time, the experience, and the atmosphere. I couldn't have loved this experience anymore! I just wanted to say Thank You!

The Kern Lodge was fabulous. I stayed in room 112. It was pet friendly with a back patio my dog loved. It was clean and roomy with a large bathroom and a kitchenette. I will only stay here when I am in Kernville from now on.
